Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using QuestMind (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

QuestMind is a gamified productivity application designed to help users manage tasks through RPG-style quest mechanics, including XP, levels, streaks, guilds, and AI-powered quest generation. The Service is provided “as is” and is not a medical device, therapeutic tool, or substitute for professional medical advice.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• One account per person; shared accounts are not permitted
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Exploit bugs, automation, or other methods to manipulate XP, levels, or leaderboard rankings
• Harass, abuse, or threaten other users through guild chat or buddy features
• Use the AI features to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service

5. Subscriptions and Billing

Free Tier: Basic features at no cost, no credit card required.

Pro Tier ($9/mo): Includes AI quest generation, daily summaries, and adaptive difficulty. Billed monthly or annually ($7/mo).

Power Tier ($5/mo + BYO key): All Pro features using your own Claude API key.

Payments are processed by Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.

6. API Keys (Power Tier)

If you provide your own Claude API key, you acknowledge that:

• You are responsible for all charges incurred on your API account
• Your key is stored encrypted but you should monitor your own API usage
• QuestMind is not liable for any costs incurred through your API key

7. Health Disclaimer

QuestMind is a productivity tool, not a medical application. The weekly focus check-in and any ADHD-related features are for personal tracking purposes only and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns.

8. Intellectual Property

The QuestMind name, logo, design, and software are the property of QuestMind. Game assets used in the Service (Ravenmore Icons, Kenney Game Icons, LPC character sprites) are used under their respective open-source licenses (CC-BY, CC0).

Content you create (quests, check-in responses) remains yours. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, QuestMind and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or productivity, arising from your use of the Service.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the Hellenic Republic (Greece), without regard to conflict of law provisions.
